Grandpa's 90th Birthday

Getting ready for our flight with aunt Katie

Just hangin in the hotel but so cute I couldn't resist!

We don't have to dress like this in Arizona!!!

Reilly getting to meet his Great Grandpa Carl...it was so cool!

My cousin Denise and I, we decided 10 years when you get older isn't really that big of a difference!

Reilly getting the same treatment from Grandpa we did when we were kids!

Mom with her grandson, and Grandpa with his Granddaughters

Grandpa with most of his Grand kids

Grandpa with his grand kids and 7 of his soon to be 12 Great Grand kids

We were SO fortunate this weekend to be able to go up to Fargo, ND to celebrate my Grandpa's 90th Birthday. It was the best weekend...a long way to travel and a little chilly (the high was about 7) but it was so worth it. I rarely get to see any of my cousins let alone most of them in one weekend. It was awesome to get to see my Grandpa to and it meant the world to me (and I think my mom too) to get to introduce him to Reilly. We had a great weekend hanging out with everyone and topped it off with a Pizza Party and toast in honor of the big birthday.

Reilly was awesome on the plane, it really helped that aunt Katie was with us, I am sure Billy would agree that 6 hands are better than 2!!! We are ready to get back in the swing of things and looking forward to a great holiday season.

Reilly's First Christmas Tree

In spite of Reilly being a little cranky tonight, not sure if it is a little Jet lag or Teething, we got our Christmas Tree put up. As usual Billy took the reins on this one, it is SO wonderful to have somebody that loves Christmas so much and is willing to help (or do most of it!)

Reilly and Billy had a great time in St. Louis, I missed them SO much but I know that the Seymour's miss him as well so it was nice they got to go back. It sounds like Rei did great on all four of the flights.

We are headed up to Fargo (yes Fargo, where the high is going to be 6 degrees) for Grandpa Carl's 90th Birthday this weekend, I can only hope that we have an uneventful trip...aunt Katie is flying with us so I am hoping that between the three of us we are in good shape. He has been a little fussy and I am wondering if his teeth aren't far away.

Here are a few pictures from our first Christmas Tree with Reilly...we cant wait for the rest of the Holiday season!!

Thanksgiving Part 1

Celebrating my birthday with the best present ever

Reilly not such a fan of candles or singing!

Mom with the girls and Froggy

Uncle Steve and Froggy

The game of Guesstures came down to Uncle Steve and Ted for the win...need I say more!

McKenna and Janet helping with clean up duty...Billy too!

Ted trying to convince Mikaela that he can play on her soccer team

Brady and Margaret

I listed this as part one as I am sure there will be more to update by the end of the weekend. We are having a GREAT time with the Doe clan in town as well as Brady and Margaret. It is so nice to have family around...too bad the Seymours and Bakkums are not closer! Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic, my mom out did herself as usual. I was in charge of the cheese platter and Pumpkin bread, cheese platter was hard to mess up but the pumpkin bread was kind of a disaster (think the aunt with the overdone turkey on Christmas Vacation, HA). After dinner and a little (or a lot) of wine we played a family game of Guestures...as you can see by the pictures a fun time was had by all! We have my 10 year reunion this weekend so I am sure that there will be more to report soon!

First weekend away

After Phantom

At the Sigfried and Roy Gardens at Mirage...so touristy!!

Billy and I spent our first weekend away from Reilly the weekend before Thanksgiving. For my birthday Billy took me to Vegas...it never seems to get old! We had a GREAT time, gambling, shopping, Phantom of the Opera, etc. We broke even playing Blackjack, didnt break even at the Mall and had front row seats to Phantom...oh yea and breakfast in bed was great as well. We did miss the Frog but it was nice to get away for a few days.

Froggy Comes to Life

Getting ready for the big night!!

Two cutest boys ever!
I swear this is some sort of child abuse....he actually didnt mind the costume

Sorry it has been a while!

We had a great Halloween with Frog in tow. We went out to our old neighborhood and saw some good friends, some that had met Rei and others that hadn't.

Everything is good here, Rei brought home his first cold and knocked our entire house out of commission for a few days but we all seem to be on the mend now, thank goodness!

We go in tomorrow for his 4 month check up, we are not looking forward to the shots that we know are coming, especially since dad wasn't there for the first round.

We hope all is well with everyone...we are basking in the 90 degree November Sun!!!

Nothing in particular

I borrowed Kelsey's Eliptical for a little work out and this is what I woke up to...nap time on the patio.

Just like the good old days, I definitely think we could pass for 21 again!

Getting better at tummy time....

And starting to roll to our side.

We cant forget about our other girl...she is so good and is starting to sleep through the night as well (she went through a phase when she thought she needed to eat at 3:30am...I gave in)

Now that it is getting a little cooler the Rei-man and I did some yard work

A little mom and dad fun at the Country Music Festival, Neal McCoy was...entertaining :)

Joined by Katie for Leanne Womack...good times!

I wish I had some super exciting event to update everyone with but I don't have much! Billy and I went up to Phoenix last weekend with Reilly to see Kelsey and JJ. The boys went camping and "rangering" and we had a wonderful weekend catching up at home. We did have a girls night out which was great, it was just like old times!
Reilly has been awesome, here are a few pictures of what we have been up to...after getting a scolding from aunt Kelsey we have been doing our tummy time religiously and it is showing...he is getting there!

Work is good for Billy and I, we both really look forward to our weekends, I have been trying to get out and walk and jog as much as I can...you all weren't kidding when you said the baby weight was tough to take off!!
I hope all is well!!

Is Fall finally here!!!

Reilly hangin at Target last night
A few weeks ago we were all dressed up in our Michigan gear for the game and proceeded to spit up on our outfit. We seemed happier just being naked to watch the game so we just went with it!

I know, I know, I am officially flunking the blog updates. Here are a few updated pictures of the little fella. Things are going great here with nothing too exciting to report. Reilly slept through the night twice last week (10pm until 7am) it was awesome! He is such a good boy, it is crazy to watch him grow up each day and become more and more interactive. He still continues to smile at his daddy whenever he sees him!! The babysitter is going well, Billy is able to get him relatively early in the afternoon which is nice and then we have a hand off of some sort before Billy goes to practice.

Billy went to El Paso this past weekend to watch Fendi play football (Fendi is a U of A basketball player turned University of Houston football player who Billy and his friend Keith helped mentor). It sounds like El Paso wasn't much to look at but he did get a really cool pair of Cowboy boots which he is very excited about!

The weather is finally starting to cool off so my mom and I thought it would be a good idea to hike the Telephone Line trail at Sabino Canyon yesterday...8 miles in all, most of which was uphill!! We were both exhausted but really enjoyed the scenery and most importantly we survived!! That is about it from here, I hope all is well with everyone!!

Reilly's Baptism

Reilly's future mother-in-law and I. I hope she approves of him!

Grandma and Grandpa Seymour with Froggy at the game
"All ready for my big day"

Aunt Katie and Uncle Tommy

Grandma cant seem to get enough of her Frog

This is a little late but I have been back at work this week so I am behind on everything! Last Sunday Reilly was baptised at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, this has been my church since we moved here when I was a kid so it meant a lot to me to have it their. We were fortunate to have Billy's mom and dad out as well as Tommy as he and Katie were Reilly's sponsors. We had a wonderful weekend, we all went to Billy's game on Friday night. My mom and I were only planning on staying for a quarter but Reilly champed it out the entire game...I think he enjoyed being outside seeing the lights and listening to the sounds. The baptism was Sunday, we were joined by our families as well as our good friends Ben and Tarrah and Suzette with Luc and Brett, we all went and had a nice brunch at Tucson Country Club afterwards.

After the great weekend reality set in for Billy and I. We had to drop Froggy off at his babysitters house everyday this week. I didn't sleep much for those last few nights I just couldn't fathom how somebody else was going to get to be with him all day everyday. It actually has been nice to be back to work, it also helps that Billy's job is flexible so he can pick him up relatively early most days. I keep telling myself that Reilly will be well socialized after doing this...it is the only thing that gets me through it!! We hope all is well!!

Its Game Day!

Bathtime getting ready for the Big Game (yes I know it is Western Michigan but we are taking babysteps!!)
What could possibly be better!
We might be sitting up on our own by the end of the season...not sure really, just a guess
GO BLUE!!

Are any of you surprised that we have been looking forward to this day for a long time. Uncle Brady and Aunt Margaret got Reilly this outfit last Christmas, we had it at the bottom of a drawer because we figured it would be a while before it would fit. Good thing we got it out, I am not sure if he will fit in it at the end of the season!!
We love having our little buddy here to watch the games with us...we still love our Michigan Wolverines even amid the controversy!!
