Merry Christmas!

Visiting the zoo lights with our friends Dan, Lauren and Mason

The balls from the hundred yen store (that would be the Japanese version of the dollar store...not kidding, guess who these were from!) were the highlight of the night, well that is...

until the Coup arrived!!! Now if we could just figure out how to go forward!!

Christmas Morning!!

I am SO glad he likes his Tonka Truck AND his book!

Sissy was very excited too!!

The highlight of the day might have been daddy's chipping net...notice the 70 degree weather...very nice!

Billy carving the turkey, while...

Grandpa worked on his chipping

I have no make up, and we were still in our PJs by dinner time but the sunset was beautiful!!

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! It all started with my family attending church on Christmas Eve, we figured if we could make it through that it would be smooth sailing. Reilly was awesome...funny actually, he proceeded to dance to every hymn that we sang! The girls behind us in church were thoroughly entertained! Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Teddy's for a light dinner and present opening. Needless to say Reilly was absolutely spoiled by his Gram, Gramp, aunt and uncle. The highlight of the night for him was the Cozy Coup (see pictures). I am not sure who was more excited, Gram or Reilly. He was a champ and managed to keep smiling until 10 when daddy and I were exhausted! The next morning you know who came, he brought a basketball hoop and a Tonka Truck...we were VERY excited. Almost nearly as exciting was the fact that Billy and I were hosting our first holiday. Everything turned out great...with a little help from Martha Stuart our brined turkey turned out delish (a little salty though).

I get SO sad when the holidays are over, it is such a nice laid back week for all of us. We are looking forward to Grandma and Grandpa Seymour to get here tomorrow for a week...should be another lazy week with family! Billy and I are planning to spend New Years at the Putz's, pregnant or not (Kelsey, not me!!) we would not miss it! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!

Thanksgiving in the Lou

Reilly and Braden Dancing...so funny!

What could possibly be better than hanging out in your PJs all week!!!!

We were able to take a nice, almost full week, vacation to St. Louis for Thanksgiving. We were all looking forward to a great week with family, time to relax and a week away from work! We had a WONDERFUL time! There was tons of relaxing, eating and laughing...isnt that what a vacation should be! Reilly was great, he was awesome on all the flights and once he got used to hanging with is Grandma Suzie Q and Grandpa Bill he was good to go. He loves his cousins!! They were great with him...it was really neat to watch since he does not have any cousins here in Tucson. We loved the cold weather...it has been about 80 here this week...I know, I know but it does get old after awhile, I promise!

Surfin USA and the Sandbox

So I might not win mother of the year award, and my family will agree, but I had to posts these pictures. Reilly's latest thing is to crawl up on the ottoman, stand up and dance while I sing a rousing rendition of Surfin USA...it is so funny. As you can see by the pictures my brother and sister are entertained as well!!

Here are also a few pics of Rei enjoying his sandbox...now that the weather has cooled off we can really enjoy our new backyard.

Halloween

We are going to have a few catch up posts to do...since this is a journal of our life with Reilly I cant miss anything...sorry for the delay. Halloween was a lot of fun, Rei did great in his Nemo costume! We didn't trick or treat...one of my biggest pet peaves is adults trick or treating with kids that cant even eat the candy! Our auntie Ginger came over for the evening...as a can of Ginger Ale!!!

Fall is finally here!

Reilly's latest favorite room in the house is the laundry room. He shuts the door on us...no mommies and daddies allowed!!

Bath time in the laundry tub is the best! My back loves me!!

Sweet hair!

I love this little monkey!!

We are sensing an end in site to the 100+ temps (fingers crossed). This time of year we REALLY miss the Midwest! Things are great here, Reilly is walking all over the place, he started a few days after we got back from Minnesota, since I have been terrible about his baby book this blog is going to have to do. We considered bringing Rei to the U of A vs. IOWA football game last night, thank goodness Graham stepped in to stop it! We had a great time at the game (but a little hot and sweaty) and Rei (as usual) had a great time at Grahams. Work is good for both of us, we are still loving our new house...speaking of which we finally got the pond out and the sandbox in. Rei doesn't quite know what to do with it yet but he is getting there. Here are some pictures taken with our new camera...it was quite the investment but we are hoping it was worth it!!

Trip to Minnesota

Just chillin at the game with his beer like daddy

Hangin out with our cousins before the game wearing his new Twins shirt from Grandpa

We woke up to a soggy bed on morning one of our vacation and needed a bath!!

Uncle and Brady and I surviving the week!

We were able to take a full week at the beginning of August to head up north and spend time on Gull Lake (one of my parents favorites!). I am not sure I could have made it through the week without the help of my mom and sister...we learned really quickly there is not much relaxing to be done on a vacation with a one year old! We were also able to spend a night in Minneapolis hanging out with my cousins and going to a Twins game in the new stadium.

We are all back home now getting settled into a routine which is nice. Reilly is great and is starting to take a few steps. He seems to be allergic to something in our house and we cant figure out what it is...I am open to hearing any advice!!! Football season is around the corner and with that comes cooler weather so we are all very excited!! Enjoy these pictures...I still cant figure out how to get them in any sort of order!! Kelsey...Paige...help...please!!

Reilly's Birthday Week

The little monkey went wandering behind the couch and found his way to the tube!!

Aunt Steph and Uncle Tom

Cute new overalls!

He loved every one of his presents!

The Ernie and Bert cake seemed like a good idea until we discovered Rei was allergic to the red die in the red velvet cake!!

We have such a crazy but great past week, Reilly turned one on the 2nd! I cant believe it!! This has been the greatest year for all of us, he is such an amazing little boy and never fails to bring a smile to our faces. We love him SOOO much. Here are some pics from a great weekend which included most of the clan from St. Louis and even some of Billy's extended family, his cousins and aunt from Newport. It has been miserably hot but the new pool has been a life saver!!

Oh yeah, one more thing...

Our new backyard

WE MOVED!!!

Don't ask me why we decided to go to Napa the week we were supposed to close on our house! We were SO fortunate to have been able to sell out first house we owned for a little less than what we owed. Considering the market we took it as a victory. We are SOOOOO happy to be in our new home. It is in the neighborhood across the street from our other one but on a big piece of land with a beautiful view, a pool and room to grow! Reilly has been great but is starting to get a little more independent. With a little assistance from furniture he is walking all over the place and has decided that he does not like when he doesn't get what he wants. Since he has been such an amazing baby Billy and I really don't know what to do! All in all he is still amazing, sleeping all night, has a ton of personality, 6 teeth and talks up a storm.

Most importantly Frog will be turning 1 in 2 and a half weeks!!! I can not believe it!!
