Phoenix Weekend

This is a little late but I dont want to miss out on a great weekend. We spent a long weekend (mom actually took a day off work!) in Phoenix with JJ and Kelsey for the D-Backs - Cardinals games. We had a wonderful time spending time with our friends up there...Kels and J have introduced us to some great friends who we really enjoy spending time with...now if we could only get them to all come down here for a weekend! We got to see JJ have his first outing at home, he did a great job. Reilly was on his best behavior which is all I can really ask for on overnight trips! We cant wait to get back up to see everyone!

Just Hangin

At the Zoo

Making cookies!

Our new favorite toy is the ottoman that Rei can stand in

Things are great here in Tucson! We went through a cold spell a few weeks ago, we didn't get gas to the house for a few days, the snuggling in our room with Rei and Mindy was fine, it was the lack of a hot shower I could have lived without!! No worries, we are back up to a comfortable 75 this week! Reilly is awesome, he is all over the place and adding some words to his vocabulary. They are still missing a few letters but we are getting there. Billy and I are also well, work is good, house is good, Mindy is good, so not much new to update. Here are some pics of Rei hangin in the backyard working on his swing, at the zoo and just enjoying the nice weather.

Merry Christmas!

Visiting the zoo lights with our friends Dan, Lauren and Mason

The balls from the hundred yen store (that would be the Japanese version of the dollar store...not kidding, guess who these were from!) were the highlight of the night, well that is...

until the Coup arrived!!! Now if we could just figure out how to go forward!!

Christmas Morning!!

I am SO glad he likes his Tonka Truck AND his book!

Sissy was very excited too!!

The highlight of the day might have been daddy's chipping net...notice the 70 degree weather...very nice!

Billy carving the turkey, while...

Grandpa worked on his chipping

I have no make up, and we were still in our PJs by dinner time but the sunset was beautiful!!

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! It all started with my family attending church on Christmas Eve, we figured if we could make it through that it would be smooth sailing. Reilly was awesome...funny actually, he proceeded to dance to every hymn that we sang! The girls behind us in church were thoroughly entertained! Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Teddy's for a light dinner and present opening. Needless to say Reilly was absolutely spoiled by his Gram, Gramp, aunt and uncle. The highlight of the night for him was the Cozy Coup (see pictures). I am not sure who was more excited, Gram or Reilly. He was a champ and managed to keep smiling until 10 when daddy and I were exhausted! The next morning you know who came, he brought a basketball hoop and a Tonka Truck...we were VERY excited. Almost nearly as exciting was the fact that Billy and I were hosting our first holiday. Everything turned out great...with a little help from Martha Stuart our brined turkey turned out delish (a little salty though).

I get SO sad when the holidays are over, it is such a nice laid back week for all of us. We are looking forward to Grandma and Grandpa Seymour to get here tomorrow for a week...should be another lazy week with family! Billy and I are planning to spend New Years at the Putz's, pregnant or not (Kelsey, not me!!) we would not miss it! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!

Thanksgiving in the Lou

Reilly and Braden Dancing...so funny!

What could possibly be better than hanging out in your PJs all week!!!!

We were able to take a nice, almost full week, vacation to St. Louis for Thanksgiving. We were all looking forward to a great week with family, time to relax and a week away from work! We had a WONDERFUL time! There was tons of relaxing, eating and laughing...isnt that what a vacation should be! Reilly was great, he was awesome on all the flights and once he got used to hanging with is Grandma Suzie Q and Grandpa Bill he was good to go. He loves his cousins!! They were great with him...it was really neat to watch since he does not have any cousins here in Tucson. We loved the cold weather...it has been about 80 here this week...I know, I know but it does get old after awhile, I promise!

Surfin USA and the Sandbox

So I might not win mother of the year award, and my family will agree, but I had to posts these pictures. Reilly's latest thing is to crawl up on the ottoman, stand up and dance while I sing a rousing rendition of Surfin USA...it is so funny. As you can see by the pictures my brother and sister are entertained as well!!

Here are also a few pics of Rei enjoying his sandbox...now that the weather has cooled off we can really enjoy our new backyard.

Halloween

We are going to have a few catch up posts to do...since this is a journal of our life with Reilly I cant miss anything...sorry for the delay. Halloween was a lot of fun, Rei did great in his Nemo costume! We didn't trick or treat...one of my biggest pet peaves is adults trick or treating with kids that cant even eat the candy! Our auntie Ginger came over for the evening...as a can of Ginger Ale!!!

Fall is finally here!

Reilly's latest favorite room in the house is the laundry room. He shuts the door on us...no mommies and daddies allowed!!

Bath time in the laundry tub is the best! My back loves me!!

Sweet hair!

I love this little monkey!!

We are sensing an end in site to the 100+ temps (fingers crossed). This time of year we REALLY miss the Midwest! Things are great here, Reilly is walking all over the place, he started a few days after we got back from Minnesota, since I have been terrible about his baby book this blog is going to have to do. We considered bringing Rei to the U of A vs. IOWA football game last night, thank goodness Graham stepped in to stop it! We had a great time at the game (but a little hot and sweaty) and Rei (as usual) had a great time at Grahams. Work is good for both of us, we are still loving our new house...speaking of which we finally got the pond out and the sandbox in. Rei doesn't quite know what to do with it yet but he is getting there. Here are some pictures taken with our new camera...it was quite the investment but we are hoping it was worth it!!
